Sister to Sister Summit

We're Taking a Road Trip
The theme for the 2007 summit is ‘On the Road’, because life is a journey, not a destination. Any trip requires planning, maps, a reliable vehicle, and careful packing so that you have all the things you need. Join us for this day of adventure and exploration!

Discussion Groups
When girls are in an all-girl environment, they feel more free to speak about issues that affect their lives. Research shows middle school girls are more likely to open up to girls only slightly older than themselves. Small discussion groups with trained high school facilitators are the keystone of each summit. Each group will brainstorm solutions to the challenges that are presented, so that each girl leaves feeling empowered to make healthy choices. Girls realize they are not alone and become more clear about their own feelings and more tolerant of others.

High School Panel
Middle school is a time of upheaval and transition. Often girls are apprehensive about the next step: high school. Our high school leaders love answering the middle schoolers questions.

Interesting Presenters
Past summits have featured self-defense instruction, Tahitian dance, dramatic presentations, modern dance, Capoeira (Brazilian dance-self-defense), step aerobics, and belly dancing. We are in the process of booking 2007’s entertainment, but we guarantee it will be something fun!

T-Shirts & More
Every girl who registers by the deadline will receive a special Sister-to-Sister T-shirt! A continental brunch is served as well as a delicious lunch. Every girl receives meaningful gifts at the end of the day.

All this for only $20! Register early to assure your space.
