Join AAUW-OML

The American Association of University Women (AAUW), founded in 1881, is the nation's oldest and largest organization working to promote education and equity for women and girls. When you join AAUW, you join with thousands of educated women and men of a like-minded purpose, powerful allies advocating for important issues that affect our daily lives. You become eligible to take advantage of discount travel, health insurance plans, subscriptions, and AAUW publications.

The Orinda-Moraga-Lafayette Branch, chartered in 1956, is one of over 1300 branches with more than 100,000 members nation-wide. By joining, you can work locally to increase equity for women and girls, advocate for social change consistent with gender equity, and develop and improve your leadership skills.

Eligibility

Membership is open to any graduate with an associate or equivalent or baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Undergraduates enrolled in such an institution may become student affiliates. Membership is not by invitation. In principle and practice, AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership. There are no barriers to full participation in this organization on the basis of gender, race, national origin, creed, age, sexual orientation, or disability.
